The Boeing 747-400 was delivered to the Dutch airline KLM in April 1990 with the registration PH-BFG. With the manufacturer's serial number (MSN) 24517 and christened the "City of Guayaquil", the machine went to Hong Kong, Tokyo and Toronto, among other places, for almost 30 years.
In 2019, the aircraft was decommissioned and handed over to Air Atlanta Icelandic for recycling. They re-registered this as TF-AMG and parked it at Cotswold Airport, where it was finally dismantled in March 2021.
